The Steelers bet big and early on Cole Payton, 24 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Taaffe at that price is a win they earned. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
