Larceny in pick No. 230 lands the 49ers a B, Barton and all.

Call it larceny. Lander Barton sat on the board until the 230th pick, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They will need Pegues to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
