Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tyler Owens got past him. The Lions do not have to explain a thing at slot 247. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster. The Lions clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
