Call it larceny. Will Echoles sat on the board until the 64th overall pick, and the Lions did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If Saka pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Terrion Arnold chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
