Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureB
Grand theft in pick 62: the Ravens steal Mitchell and grade out a D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Ravens shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

The cost of the Hardy reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Tyler Guyton
In the 30th pick they get a cornerstone up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Adonai Mitchell
Circle this one: Adonai Mitchell at slot 62 is a fall that decides a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick93 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
A cornerback of that caliber at the Round 3 slot is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick96 Rnd3 Gabriel Murphy
Gabriel Murphy in Round 3, Pick 33 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It fills a real need, too.
Pick113 Rnd4 Theo Johnson
Theo Johnson in the 113th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick114 Rnd4 Maason Smith
Maason Smith in pick No. 114 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick116 Rnd4 Malik Washington
Malik Washington in the 116th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick130 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
Elijah Jones in Round 4, Pick 30 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick165 Rnd5 Dylan Laube
Dylan Laube slid further than he should have, and slot 165 is lovely value for the running back. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick218 Rnd6 Zion Tupuola-Fetui
Zion Tupuola-Fetui at the 218th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick228 Rnd7 Nathan Thomas
They paid sticker price for Nathan Thomas in pick No. 228, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick250 Rnd7 Daequan Hardy
A big swing on Daequan Hardy at pick 250, well ahead of any board in the building. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
