Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Saints spent Round 7, Pick 38 on Brian Ugwu, a name most had 166 spots down the list. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They banked enough surplus on Kiser to cover a lot of smaller sins. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
