Draft Grade — Bears
Overall D-
ValueB NeedB- TradesF FutureC+
The Bears bet the future on Williams. The board says D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. If Robinson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

On value alone, Walker makes the weekend a net positive.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
In No. 1 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick15 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In the 15th overall pick they get a go-to option on the outside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick21 Rnd1 Jordan Morgan
In pick 21 they get a blindside protector at fair value.
Pick46 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kamren Kinchens at pick No. 46. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick53 Rnd2 Graham Barton
Graham Barton in the Round 2 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick75 Rnd3 Devontez Walker
Devontez Walker in slot 75 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick110 Rnd4 Darius Robinson
A conviction pick on Darius Robinson at the 110th pick that the board grades a round light. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick122 Rnd4 Sataoa Laumea
Sataoa Laumea at Round 4, Pick 22 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
