Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall

ValueB

TradesF
FutureA+
The phones sank the Raiders this weekend: B-. The Raiders treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 197 on Isaac TeSlaa a full 36 spots early.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The Paul Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
In the 24th pick they get a lockdown presence outside, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick37
Rnd2
Luther Burden III
Luther Burden III slid further than he should have, and Round 2, Pick 5 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick68
Rnd3
Dylan Sampson
Fair-plus on Dylan Sampson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick97
Rnd3
Chris Paul Jr.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Chris Paul Jr. at pick 97. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick116
Rnd4
Dillon Gabriel
Dillon Gabriel at No. 116 is a conviction pick that outran the value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick143
Rnd5
Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore in the Round 5 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick155
Rnd5
Seth McLaughlin
They went early on Seth McLaughlin in the 155th overall pick, and the value did not follow. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick180
Rnd6
Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse in Round 6, Pick 4 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick197
Rnd6
Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa in the 197th pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick215
Rnd6
Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins is a better player than the Round 6 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
