The Bears let Higgins fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bears were there to profit. Jay Higgins, the No. 136 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 197. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
