Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall D-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesF FutureC+
The Seahawks got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

Nobody had Nazir Stackhouse this high, and it is not close. The Seahawks reached 61 spots to get him at Round 4, Pick 33.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Arroyo. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Tyler Booker
In pick 18 they get a long-term starter on the line, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick34 Rnd2 Jaxson Dart
A big swing on Jaxson Dart at the 34th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick50 Rnd2 Aireontae Ersery
A reasonable price with a little left over, Aireontae Ersery in slot 50. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick65 Rnd3 Jordan Burch
Jordan Burch at Round 3, Pick 1 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick82 Rnd3 Jake Majors
A real head-scratcher, Jake Majors in pick No. 82 is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick104 Rnd4 Elijah Arroyo
They will replay Elijah Arroyo at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134 Rnd4 Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse at slot 134 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick137 Rnd4 Tahj Brooks
The board had Tahj Brooks higher than pick 137, and the running back fell to them anyway. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick155 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tyler Shough in the 155th overall pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick173 Rnd5 Nick Nash
They barely believed it either: Nick Nash still on the board at the 173rd pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick187 Rnd6 Dorian Strong
Dorian Strong at No. 187 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick212 Rnd6 Brant Kuithe
They went early on Brant Kuithe in Round 6, Pick 34, and the value did not follow. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick236 Rnd7 Ja'Corey Brooks
Ja'Corey Brooks slid further than he should have, and the Round 7 slot is lovely value for the wide receiver. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
