There is conviction, and then there is this. The Lions took Cedric Gray a full 34 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. On value alone, Odunze makes the weekend a net positive.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. L'Jarius Sneed gives the group a proven body among the projects.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
