Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

The Raiders looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Kyle McCord at the 106th overall pick regardless, 115 picks early. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Wyatt Milum
In the 8th pick they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick39 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
A quiet steal in No. 39: Tate Ratledge for less than the market said. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick69 Rnd3 Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton at slot 69 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick70 Rnd3 Jack Bech
Jack Bech in pick 70 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick106 Rnd4 Kyle McCord
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kyle McCord this early at the 106th overall pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick146 Rnd5 Danny Stutsman
A linebacker of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 9 is the definition of value, full stop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick183 Rnd6 Sonny Styles
Somehow Sonny Styles was still sitting there in the 183rd overall pick, and they pounced on premier safety value. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick212 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Jay Higgins in pick No. 212, plain and simple. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick216 Rnd6 Thor Griffith
Value said wait; Thor Griffith in the 216th pick says they were not listening. The roster fit checks out.
Pick223 Rnd7 Elijhah Badger
They talked themselves into Elijhah Badger at pick 223, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
