FutureB+
The Eagles won the night they stopped Zvada from sliding. Grade: B+. The rest of the league will want that one back. Dominic Zvada tumbling to the Eagles in pick 194 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
Parker has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Tate Ratledge
In No. 31 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value.
Pick63
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
You do not let a linebacker like Jihaad Campbell reach the 63rd pick and blink. They did not. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick128
Rnd4
Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson at Round 4, Pick 27 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick131
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
Kevin Winston Jr. in pick No. 131 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick161
Rnd5
Elijah Arroyo
This one needs a full-page explanation: Elijah Arroyo in the 161st overall pick, miles early. It fills a real need, too.
Pick171
Rnd5
Devin Neal
A running back of that caliber at slot 171 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick194
Rnd6
Dominic Zvada
Steal is underselling it; Dominic Zvada at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick200
Rnd6
Jeffrey Bassa
Jeffrey Bassa at pick 200 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick223
Rnd7
Thor Griffith
Thor Griffith at pick 223 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick229
Rnd7
Steven Parker
They reached into another round for Steven Parker, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick244
Rnd7
Jaylen Reed
They barely believed it either: Jaylen Reed still on the board at the Round 7 slot. The roster fit checks out.
Pick245
Rnd7
Micah Morris
They left a pile of value on the table to take Micah Morris this early at slot 245. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
