A sensible, unshowy class lands the Seahawks a B.

It is a puzzling start. The Seahawks had edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots to solve and reached instead for Maason Smith, a DT-EDGE, at pick No. 90.

Getting Knight where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The cost of the Smith reach is exactly the players who went right after him. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
