It is a puzzling start. The Lions had cornerback, offensive lineman and other spots to solve and reached instead for Rod Moore, a defensive back, at Round 3, Pick 11.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. The Whittington pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

The Lewis pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
