A passer of the future in Maye, and a B, for the Falcons.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Falcons' quarterback, full stop.

They will need Johnson Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The McConkey pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

A reasonable price with a little left over, Drake Maye in No. 11. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

JT Tuimoloau slid further than he should have, and the Round 2 slot is lovely value for the edge rusher. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

A wide receiver of that caliber at pick No. 75 is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
