The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
