Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

When the story of this class is written, it opens with Nyck Harbor at the 86th overall pick, a reach of 28 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

The Mathews Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Will Echoles
In No. 20 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick55 Rnd2 Omarion Miller
Omarion Miller in Round 2, Pick 23 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick86 Rnd3 Nyck Harbor
Nyck Harbor at the 86th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick123 Rnd4 Iapani Laloulu
Iapani Laloulu at the Round 4 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick157 Rnd5 Koi Perich
Circle this one: Koi Perich at pick 157 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick203 Rnd6 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
Jermaine Mathews Jr. at pick No. 203 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
