Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall

The Raiders let Stone fall and pounced. Final grade: B-. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: David Stone, the No. 21 name on the board, stolen at No. 79. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
The cost of the Becker reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Charlie Becker
In the 15th pick they get a difference-maker at receiver, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick48
Rnd2
Will Echoles
Steal is underselling it; Will Echoles at the Round 2 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick79
Rnd3
David Stone
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at slot 79 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick118
Rnd4
Evan Tengesdahl
Evan Tengesdahl is a better player than Round 4, Pick 16 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick152
Rnd5
Jackson Bennee
They will replay Jackson Bennee at pick 152 for years; that is how good the value is. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick196
Rnd6
Jermaine Mathews Jr.
Somehow Jermaine Mathews Jr. was still sitting there in pick No. 196, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
