Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesA- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Flournoy: B.

When a board-topper like Ryan Flournoy slides to slot 245, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not. No fireworks, but a solid B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. With quarterback and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

The Okie-Anoma reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a lockdown presence outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick58 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
A tidy little value on Javon Bullard in the 58th pick, a step better than break-even. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick66 Rnd3 Zach Frazier
Zach Frazier is a better player than pick 66 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick71 Rnd3 Kingsley Suamataia
Kingsley Suamataia at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
They bypassed pressing needs at quarterback and tight end to take Cole Bishop, a safety that was not the priority.
Pick98 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson at pick No. 98 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick104 Rnd4 Maason Smith
Maason Smith at No. 104 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
Pick119 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cedric Gray. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick126 Rnd4 Braelon Allen
They let Braelon Allen come to them and pounced at pick 126. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick169 Rnd5 Beau Brade
Beau Brade at No. 169 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick202 Rnd6 Chau Smith-Wade
Chau Smith-Wade at pick No. 202 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick219 Rnd6 Tyrice Knight
A clean, defensible pick in the 219th overall pick with a little surplus value in Tyrice Knight. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick226 Rnd7 Eyabi Okie-Anoma
They went early on Eyabi Okie-Anoma in the 226th pick, and the value did not follow. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick245 Rnd7 Ryan Flournoy
Somehow Ryan Flournoy was still sitting there in Round 7, Pick 25, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It fills a real need, too.
Pick255 Rnd7 Frank Crum
By-the-book stuff, Frank Crum at the Round 7 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
