Gordon II should have been long gone. The Lions pounced, and earned a A-.

The Lions spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Ollie Gordon II, the No. 174 name on the board, in pick No. 246. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

Every board in the league had Griffith lower, and that gap is the story. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.

Thor Griffith at Round 7, Pick 14 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.

Somehow Ollie Gordon II was still sitting there in slot 246, and they pounced on premier running back value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
