The Lions kept it disciplined and banked a B.

The Lions spent real capital to be 36 picks early on Mark Perry, and the board is going to hold them to it. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They banked enough surplus on Mitchell to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
