The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jacob Cowing fell into Round 7, Pick 5. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Tampa pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots.

The Brian Burns pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
