The rest of the league had time to spare on Jalen Milroe; the Steelers did not wait, grabbing him 58 spots ahead at pick No. 37.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
