Best value of the weekend goes to the Browns for McConkey: A-.

Somebody in the Round 3 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Ladd McConkey, the No. 33 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Adding Andrew Billings by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Bottom line, with Ladd McConkey leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
