The Steelers bet big and early on Will Sheppard, 64 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The Hampton steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
