The Xavier Truss pick is the one that will follow the Patriots into the fall. They took him 73 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Getting Walker where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
