You could see the war room lean forward. Kyle Monangai at the 239th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Parrish reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The trade work was a quiet net positive. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with safety the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
