There is reaching, and then there is Jordan Phillips at the Round 3 slot. The Cowboys jumped the board by 33 and dared it to prove them wrong. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The Borregales value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
