Legette should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a B.

The Steelers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Xavier Legette, the No. 36 name on the board, in pick No. 64. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

With interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them. If Tate pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
