You could see the war room lean forward. Brashard Smith at the 185th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They will need McCoy to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
