The Browns lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Browns reached some 76 spots for Donovan Smith, and value like that does not grow back.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
