The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. Reaching for Haynesworth left real value on the table behind him. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

However the rest shakes out, Burke at that price is a win they earned.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
