If confidence were a draft strategy, the 49ers would have aced it. Dorian Strong at the Round 3 slot is 64 spots clear of where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Williams. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
