The Seahawks won the night they stopped Smith-Wade from sliding. Grade: B-.

Call it larceny. Chau Smith-Wade sat on the board until the 171st overall pick, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Spending an early pick on safety with wide receiver, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
