The board owed the Broncos one, and it paid up: Keon Sabb, the No. 105 name on the board, sitting there at Round 6, Pick 22 like a gift left on the doorstep. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will answer for taking safety early while linebacker, edge rusher and other spots went begging.

Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
