The Giants bet the future on Ward. The board says B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Giants did exactly that with Akheem Mesidor in Round 7, Pick 3. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Cam Ward is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They banked enough surplus on Stutsman to cover a lot of smaller sins.

For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
