The Jaguars did not so much draft Denzel Burke as overpay for him, 28 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Ransom at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
