The Saints lost the trade table, and the D tells the story.

The Saints lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. Getting Jones where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
