Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB TradesC- FutureA+
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Pritchett: B+.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Seahawks watched Nehemiah Pritchett slide 78 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The Seahawks indulged a want in Stover while a need in wide receiver, running back and other spots stayed open. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. They are betting Zinter proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick58 Rnd2 Michael Penix Jr.
Taking Michael Penix Jr. in the 58th pick is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick78 Rnd3 Chop Robinson
Chop Robinson at the 78th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick81 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
They jumped the gun on Zak Zinter, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick118 Rnd4 Cade Stover
They bypassed pressing needs at wide receiver, running back and other spots to take Cade Stover, a TE-EDGE that was not the priority.
Pick154 Rnd5 Drake Nugent
A tidy little value on Drake Nugent in slot 154, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick194 Rnd6 Aki Ogunbiyi
Aki Ogunbiyi at Round 6, Pick 19 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick220 Rnd6 Nehemiah Pritchett
Circle this one: Nehemiah Pritchett at pick No. 220 is a fall that decides a draft. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick236 Rnd7 Omar Speights
They barely believed it either: Omar Speights still on the board at No. 236. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
