The Lions worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Joe Milton III, 36 picks early at No. 164. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

However the rest shakes out, Coleman at that price is a win they earned.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
