McGlothern should have been long gone. The Lions pounced, and earned a B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Dwight McGlothern had no business being available in the Round 6 slot, and the Lions did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Milton III has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick29 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In No. 29 they get juice off the edge, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick63 Rnd2 Bralen Trice
A straight-up fair deal on Bralen Trice at Round 2, Pick 31, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick73 Rnd3 Patrick Paul
Nothing to complain about; Patrick Paul went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick124 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
They paid sticker price for Johnny Wilson in pick 124, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick164 Rnd5 Joe Milton III
This one needs a full-page explanation: Joe Milton III in the 164th overall pick, miles early. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick176 Rnd6 Braiden McGregor
Braiden McGregor in pick No. 176 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick201 Rnd6 Caedan Wallace
Caedan Wallace in the 201st pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick205 Rnd6 Dwight McGlothern
They will replay Dwight McGlothern at slot 205 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick249 Rnd7 KT Leveston
Good price on KT Leveston in the 249th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
