Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueB NeedB- TradesD+ FutureA+
The Raiders did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Raiders will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

Every board in the league had Barton lower, and that gap is the story. However the rest shakes out, Terrell at that price is a win they earned.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In pick No. 4 they get a two-high chess piece. More want than need.
Pick33 Rnd2 Avieon Terrell
Avieon Terrell at the Round 2 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 Connor Lew
A reach for Connor Lew in the 46th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick66 Rnd3 Caleb Tiernan
They went early on Caleb Tiernan in Round 3, Pick 2, and the value did not follow. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick101 Rnd4 Diego Pavia
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Diego Pavia at pick 101 is the proof. The roster fit checks out.
Pick115 Rnd4 Chris Johnson
Chris Johnson at No. 115 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick136 Rnd4 J.C. Davis
J.C. Davis at slot 136 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick161 Rnd5 Lander Barton
They paid up for Lander Barton at the 161st overall pick when waiting would have done the job. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick175 Rnd5 Xavier Nwankpa
Xavier Nwankpa in slot 175 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick182 Rnd6 Gracen Halton
A straight-up fair deal on Gracen Halton at the Round 6 slot, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick184 Rnd6 Isaiah Jatta
They paid sticker price for Isaiah Jatta in Round 6, Pick 3, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick218 Rnd7 Tristan Leigh
A reach on Tristan Leigh in pick 218; the board had better options right there. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
