The Bears bet the future on Daniels. The board says D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Every board in the league had Van Pran lower, and that gap is the story.

Getting Turner where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
