A sensible, unshowy class lands the Falcons a B-.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Falcons did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to interior defensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Getting Slovis where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They are betting Bishop proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
