If confidence were a draft strategy, the Falcons would have aced it. Frank Gore Jr. at the 187th overall pick is 40 spots clear of where he belonged. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

With quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them. They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins.
