Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall C
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureB
A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a C weekend for the Falcons.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Falcons committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

The Logue pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

That Mitchell pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In slot 11 they get a long-term answer under center. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick26 Rnd1 Brian Thomas Jr.
In pick 26 they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43 Rnd2 Quinyon Mitchell
They let Quinyon Mitchell come to them and pounced at the Round 2 slot. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick74 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in pick No. 74 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick79 Rnd3 Gabriel Murphy
Gabriel Murphy in the 79th pick is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick109 Rnd4 Tommy Eichenberg
They talked themselves into Tommy Eichenberg at No. 109, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick110 Rnd4 Cole Bishop
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Cole Bishop. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick142 Rnd5 Luke McCaffrey
No drama and no debate, Luke McCaffrey went about where he belonged in the 142nd overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick234 Rnd7 Zion Logue
Zion Logue in the 234th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
