Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB FutureC+
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Ravens: B-.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Javion Cohen; the Ravens did not wait, grabbing him 34 spots ahead at Round 5, Pick 29.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Adonai Mitchell
In the Round 1 slot they get a No. 1 receiver. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Marshawn Kneeland
A premium they did not need to pay, Marshawn Kneeland a notch or two before his time. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick70 Rnd3 Blake Fisher
No drama and no debate, Blake Fisher went about where he belonged in slot 70. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick113 Rnd4 Cam Hart
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cam Hart. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick130 Rnd4 Malik Mustapha
No edge and no loss on Malik Mustapha in the 130th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick165 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen at the 165th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick218 Rnd6 Jaden Shirden
A real head-scratcher, Jaden Shirden in Round 6, Pick 43 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick228 Rnd7 Trey Taylor
They took Trey Taylor at par in pick 228, which is nothing to complain about. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick250 Rnd7 Daequan Hardy
Daequan Hardy in No. 250 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
