The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Falcons reached some 56 spots for Ty Hamilton, and value like that does not grow back.

Getting Loveland where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
