Draft Grade — Bills
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesD FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bills to a C+.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Keaten Wade, 53 picks early at Round 7, Pick 12. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Getting Thieneman where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Chris Brazzell II
In the 26th pick they get a go-to option on the outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick57 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Dillon Thieneman in pick 57. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick89 Rnd3 Taurean York
The board had Taurean York higher than No. 89, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jake Golday
A tidy bit of business in slot 91, where Jake Golday graded well above the range. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick114 Rnd4 Zachariah Branch
Zachariah Branch in Round 4, Pick 14 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick126 Rnd4 Keylan Rutledge
A reasonable price with a little left over, Keylan Rutledge in the 126th overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick163 Rnd5 Treydan Stukes
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Treydan Stukes at the 163rd pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick166 Rnd5 Gracen Halton
They went early on Gracen Halton in pick 166, and the value did not follow. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick220 Rnd7 J. Michael Sturdivant
They took J. Michael Sturdivant at par in the Round 7 slot, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick228 Rnd7 Keaten Wade
Keaten Wade at No. 228 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
